Orienting our production methods towards integrated agriculture and agro-ecology
This means limiting our impact on the environment as much as possible, but also allowing us to care for our animals in the best possible way.
- Getting involved with the League to protect biodiversity, such as creating an LPO refuge
- Take an active approach to protecting biodiversity
- We will be certified by «EquuRES» type labels in the coming months.
Working on genetics
- Health genetics Our horses are tested for health genes such as ACAN and the D1, D2, D3* and D4 loci on the miniature horse responsible for dwarfism and health problems. Our breeding stock is therefore ALL tested negative.
- Colour genetics : We work on specific genes such as the «DUN» gene, which leaves traces of the primitive markslike welts (on the limbs, sometimes the ears and the forehead), a mullet ray (indispensable and always present), sometimes two-tone bristles (in particular on bais), the dark ear tips, a thinning of the base of the tail, a Saint Andrew's cross, and scapular shadows... .
We pay very close attention to certain colour genes and think carefully about each cross in order to produce colourful AND healthy horses.
- Specific genetics The so-called «hypoallergenic» gene in the CURLY breed, expressed as KRT25 / SP6 / SULFUR. .
Adaptability
We will be offering foals for sale for a variety of purposes (mediation, driving, companionship, working on foot, etc.).
The foals are destined for a wide variety of profiles.
